Sommerville Event Preview: MPST Scotia Speedworld
Saint John, NB, Canada 6/30/09-
After Mother Nature won out the past two weeks, the Lonnie
Sommerville Racing team and the rest of the Carquest
Maritime Pro Stock Tour heads to Scotia Speedworld for their
second of three stops at the D-shaped oval. In the first
race at Scotia, Sommerville started fourth but early race
contact sent him to the rear of the field. Fortunately,
Sommerville was able to bounce back to a fifth place finish.
Since then Sommerville has risen to the points lead and
hopes that his notes from the last race at Scotia will
catapult him to a win at the 3/10th mile oval. |
Casey Smith Takes Home a Pair of Top Ten Finishes
Austin, TX 6/30/09-
Casey
Smith went into the third round of the Gulf Coast
Championship double header looking for some racing luck as
he was searching for solid finishes at both Mobile and
Pensacola. Last time in Mobile it was mechanical gremlins
that forced Smith’s night to end early, while in Pensacola
Casey came home with a solid third place finish.
